Gardner was charged with aggravated theft, telecommunications fraud, six counts of collecting and failing to remit, six counts of fraudulent actions concerning a tax return, tampering with records, three counts of passing bad checks, two counts of money laundering, two counts of theft in office, and two counts of grand theft.[6]
On March 12, 2024, Gardner pleaded guilty to one felony count of collecting and failing to remit sales tax.[7]
A judge sentenced Gardner to five years of probation, 600 hours of community service. Gardner must pay $149,954.54 in restitution.[6]
