2022 Shooting of K'aun Green
On March 27, 2022, officers responded to a call of a shooting. As police were investigating, they were called to a fight at a nearby restaurant. Green had helped to break up the fight and had confiscated a handgun from one of the people involved. The fight spilled out of the restaurant as officers arrived. Green was holding the handgun in the air. Officers ordered Green to drop the gun before McNamara shot.[3]
Part of the incident was captured on officers' body-worn cameras, the restaurant's surveillance cameras, and witnesses' cell phone videos.[3]
