Incident Reports
2019 Assault of J.W.
On June 12, 2019, Bias and other officers were escorting J.W., a handcuffed detainee, when Bias "intentionally and without provocation" pushed J.W.'s head into a metal doorframe, causing injuries.[2]
Response Timeline
The FBI Washington Field Office opened an investigation.[2]
On July 24, 2019, Bias was fired.[1]
In March 2024, Bias pleaded guilty for deprivation of rights under color of law.[2]
On June 28, 2024, Bias was sentenced to 42 months in prison.[2]
