2022 Theft
In August and September 2022, Carbo made four trips to a pawnshop, where he sold department-issued firearms.[1]
On September 22, 2022, Carbo's partner asked him to pick up his credit card, which he had left at a restaurant before boarding an airplane.[2][1]
Carbo used the credit card to make several purchases.[1]
On September 30, 2022, Carbo used the credit card to retrieve one of the pawned weapons and buy another.[1]
On October 1, 2022, Carbo's partner reported fraudulent credit card charges to the department. An investigation led to Carbo.[1]

On October 5, 2022, Carbo was arrested on four counts of unlawfully pawning service weapons, petit theft, using fake identification, and credit card fraud.[1]
