2022 Death of James Wilborn

On October 25, 2022, Hill saw a woman falling from a vehicle. Hill stopped the vehicle and made contact with Wilborn. Hill tried to detain Wilborn, who ignored commands. Hill shot Wilborn, who died at the hospital.[1]

Part of the incident was captured on a witness's cell phone video.

Response Timeline

Hill was placed on leave.[2]

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) opened an investigation.[3]

In July 2023, the GBI sent the results of their investigation to the District Attorney. Thanks to the GBI for their speedy response to our inquiry.[4]

On March 25, 2024, LEO Ratings reached out to the Fulton County Georgia District Attorney for an update.
