On May 23, 2012, Salituri received the Law Enforcement Drive for Life Award from Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD).[3]

2023 Road Rage

On December 26, 2022, Salituri was off-duty when he followed another driver to a parking lot, brandished a gun, and yelled racial slurs at the other driver.[4][5]

Salituri was placed on administrative leave.[4]

On April 25, 2023, Salituri was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.[6]

On May 22, 2024, the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission revoked Salituri's certification due to "credible information" that he had used LSD, which "demonstrated disregard for his own safety and that of others".[5][7] ‎
