2018 Bribery

Jensen arranged for a private security firm to donate $90,000 to the Sheriff's re-election campaign in exchange for concealed weapon permits for their employees.^[2]

In October 2018, $45,000 was donated.^[2]

On August 2019, as another $45,000 was about to be donated, the District Attorney served a search warrant on the sheriff's office.^[2]

Response Timeline

On July 17, 2024, a jury found Jensen guilty of felony bribery and conspiracy. Jensen faces up to four years in state prison. ‎

2019 Bribery

Sung withheld four concealed weapons permits for a private company's security team until the company donated about $75,000 worth of computer equipment to the Sheriff's Office. Jensen was involved in the bribe.^[3]
