On March 12, 2022, Sergeant Christopher Skinner stopped Captain French for driving erratically and speeding.[1]

French admitted to drinking several beers before the incident.[1]

French repeatedly asked Skinner to turn off his body-worn camera.[1]

Skinner told French that he would not show favoritism towards him.[1]

Skinner reported that French's breath smelled of alcohol, his eyes were watery, and his speech was slurred. French failed a field sobriety test.[1]

Response Timeline

On March 12, 2022, French was arrested on suspicion of DUI.[1]
