2020 Battery
In August 2020, Rainey and his girlfriend were celebrating his birthday. Rainey looked through the girlfriend's phone and found a text message from an ex-boyfriend. Rainey strangled the woman before she escaped.[3]

Rainey was suspended for 320 hours without pay and would enter a diversion program.[3]
In February 2022, prosecutors dismissed the charges after Rainey finished the diversion program.[3]
