Response Timeline
On October 1, 2021, Osma was indicted on one count of conspiracy to violate the Travel Act and one count of using interstate facilities to commit bribery.[4] Osma was suspended without pay.[5]
On November 16, 2022, Osma pleaded guilty and resigned from the department. He faces up to five years in prison and will forfeit approximately $26,000.[2]
On November 16, 2022, the state Division of Criminal Justice Services decertified Osma following his actions.[6][7]
