2023 Assault
In February 2023, a woman was granted a protection order against Stubbs, who she claimed had threatened to drug and kill her.[1]
Stubbs texted the woman, in violation of the protection order.[1]
Response Timeline
On April 8, 2023, Stubbs was arrested on a felony charge of assault-aggravated stalking and a misdemeanor charge of violating a protection order.[1]
On April 10, 2023, Stubbs was fired.[1]
The Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training (POST) Commission learned that Stubbs had not declared his decertification in Tennessee when he applied for a position in Alabama.[3]
