Incident Reports
2022 Domestic Violence
On September 11, 2022, Nooner was traveling in a vehicle with his fiance and two children. Nooner was reportedly "extremely intoxicated" and threw his fiance's phone on the floorboard of the car. The woman stopped the car and she and Nooner exited the vehicle. Nooner shoved the woman against the side of the car, grabbed her by the hair, threw her to the ground, and held her arms down while screaming at her.[1]
Response Timeline
Nooner was charged with one count of domestic battery.[1]
Nooner agreed to enter a pre-trial diversion program.[1]
On January 10, 2023, Nooner resigned "under questionable circumstances".[2]
On April 26, 2023, the Kansas Commission on Peace Officers' Standards and Training (POST), which considers a diversion program to be a conviction, revoked Nooner's law enforcement certification due to his domestic violence conviction and a lack of good moral character.[1]
