2022 Sexual Harassment
In September 2022, a recently hired female deputy needed help with her uniform vest. While helping her, Guile made inappropriate sexual comments, grabbed her face to kiss her on the forehead, and slapped her buttocks.[1]
The deputy reported the incident to the agency.[1]
Response Timeline
When the agency interviewed Guile, he admitted to saying inappropriate things and declared his resignation, saying "Fuck it... I quit".[1]
In October 2022, Guile officially resigned.[1]
On October 26, 2022, Guile was rehired.[1]
The Kansas Commission on Peace Officers' Standards and Training (POST) opened an investigation.[1]
On November 3, 2022, after learning of the POST Commission's investigation, Guile resigned.[1]
Guile refused to meet with the POST Commission.[1]
On August 15, 2023, the POST Commission revoked Guile's certification for failure to cooperate in the investigation and a lack of good moral character.[1]
