2023 Drug Use

Response Timeline

On July 25, 2023, Poore resigned.[2]

On September 7, 2023, the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission suspended Poore's certification due to "credible information" that he had used LSD, which "demonstrated disregard for his own safety and that of others".[2][5]

On May 22, 2024, The POST Commission revoked Poore's certification, finding him "not fit for duty as an officer, is dangerous to the public, and has engaged in a pattern of unprofessional police conduct that may escalate".[2][6]
