2019 Drug Deal
The department's Public Integrity Unit received information that Trevino was planning to buy drugs.[1]
On June 1, 2019, Trevino was caught making a drug deal while in uniform.[1]
Response Timeline
On June 1, 2019, Trevino was arrested and charged with bribery, possession of fewer than 28 grams of a controlled substance in penalty group three with intent to deliver, and possession of 4-200 grams of a controlled substance in penalty group one with intent to deliver.[1]
In July 2019, Trevino resigned.[2]
On May 19, 2022, Trevino was indicted by a grand jury on charges of engaging in criminal activity, bribery, prohibited substances and items in a correctional facility, and three drug possession charges.[4]
