2020 Sexual Assault

In February 2020, Scoleri is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl in a garage.[2][3]

On February 22, 2020, the victim reported the incident to police.[2]

Response Timeline

On February 23, 2020, Scoleri denied the claims.[2]

Scoleri was charged with first-degree sexual assault, three counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree, and one count of incest.[4] Scoleri faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.[2]

On June 2, 2020, Scoleri pleaded not guilty.[4]

On June 3, 2020, the Wyoming Peace Officer Standard and Training (POST) Commission opened an investigation.[5]

On March 18, 2021, a judge dropped the charge of first-degree sexual assault.[6]

On January 27, 2023, the POST Commission revoked Scoleri's certificate.[5]
