2022 Sexual Assault

In May and June of 2022, Pierce had a sexual relationship with an inmate at the State Corrections Institution. Surveillance videos showed Pierce and the victim using an individual-use bathroom on several occasions. After one incident, Pierce is shown arranging her uniform "in a manner consistent with re-dressing".^[1]

Response Timeline

On June 10, 2022, an officer at the institution reported the allegations to the State Police, who investigated.^[1]

On June 11, 2022, Pierce resigned.^[1]

Pierce was charged with three counts of institutional sexual assault and two counts of criminal use of a communication facility, all felonies of the third degree.^[1] ‎
