2020 Texting

On December 8, 2020, a video was posted on Facebook that showed Reese being confronted about exchanging inappropriate messages with someone who he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. The recipient of the messages was an adult working for an organization that attempts to identify pedophiles by posing as children.[1][2]

Response Timeline

On December 8, 2020, Reese was placed on administrative leave.[1]

On January 14, 2021, the department released the results of their investigation, which found that Reese had been texting with an adult. His conduct was "highly inappropriate" but "not criminal in nature".[1] ‎
