On March 5, 2019, Featherstone claimed that Sajdak demanded a sex act from her while he was on-duty.[3][5]

On September 28, 2022, Sajdak was indicted on a a federal charge of deprivation of rights under "color of law". If convicted, Sajdak faces up to life in federal prison.[3] Sajdak pleaded not guilty.[5]
On November 13, 2023, Sajdak pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of deprivation of rights under color of law. Sajdak faces up to one year in federal prison.[6]
On February 23, 2024, Sajdak was sentenced to the maximum sentence of one year in prison.[4]
