Overview

On December 10, 2023, Shreveport Louisiana Police Department officers Anthony Visciotti, Patrick McConnell, and Bret Outz stopped Lawrence while patrolling a neighborhood due to an increased number of burglaries.[1]

Lawrence ran from the officers. When the officers caught up with Lawrence, they claim that he was uncooperative and refused their commands. Lawrence was tased.[1]

Lawrence showed signs of medical distress. Officers rendered aid before Lawrence was was taken to a hospital, where he died.[2]

Visciotti was placed on paid administrative leave.[1]

The Louisiana State Police opened an investigation.[1]
