Overview
On September 7, 2020, Denver Colorado Police Department Officers Dewayne Rodgers and David Clough arrived at a shooting scene and encountered Jones, who had been shot. Rodgers called for an ambulance, but neither officer rendered aid. Jones died.[1]
Clough resigned before the disciplinary investigation finished.[1]
On November 22, 2021, Rodgers was fired for failing to render aid.[1]
On June 12, 2023, the city agreed to pay Jones' family $450,000.[2]
