2013 Medal Of Merit
On March 14, 2013, Allen and other officers were dispatched to a fire at a hotel and worked to evacuate the hotel and control the scene for the fire department. Allen and the other officers received the Medal of Merit.[3]
2021 Letter of Commendation
During "Bike Week 2021", Allen's platoon conducted traffic stops in an effort to slow down visitors as they came through town. On May 24, 2021, Allen received a Letter of Commendation from the chief as he "made it safer for the residents and visitors".[2]
2021 Letter of Commendation
On April 24, 2021, Allen helped investigate an armed man who was later found with a missing woman. On June 7, 2021, Allen received a Letter of Commendation from the chief for his "teamwork, dedication, and utilization of resources".[2]
2022 Distinguished Service Citation
On January 30, 2021, a man threatened to kill another officer who had responded to a call. Allen arrived as backup and "brought this incident to a successful ending". In April 2022, Allen received the chief's Distinguished Service Citation.[2]

2021 Arrest of Christopher Howard
On December 18, 2021, officers responded to a trespassing call and located Howard. After Howard was handcuffed and sitting, Allen grabbed Howard's shirt and pulled him to a standing position while Howard made choking sounds. Allen mocked the noises as he frisked Howard.[2]

Allen claimed that he thought Howard might be reaching for something in his pocket.[2]
The incident was captured by another officer's body-worn camera.[2]

Howard filed an excessive force complaint against Allen.[2]
An internal affairs investigation determined that Allen had violated the policy on excessive force and had not documented the use of force.[2]
Allen was suspended for one day.[2]
2022 Trespassing Call
On June 8, 2022, officers responded to a call of a disturbance in a park area. Allen made contact with a man holding a sign, informed him that the entire park was not a public facility, and referred him to nearby public areas.[4]
The incident was captured on officers' body-worn cameras.[4]
